Colorado is full of things to do but you never know what the weather will be so plan layers, a warm coat is advised as it will be winter, and good walking shoes but you might need some warmer ones in case it snows.

There are a lot of great restaurants, activities, and shopping in Castle Rock if you elect to stay near the venue. There is a great shop called The Barn to find local artists and vendors.

Downtown Denver is about a 60 minute drive (depending on traffic) from the venue.

Or you can pick a hotel in Parker, near where we live. Downtown Parker offers lots of restaurants and shops with local vendors. Parker is about a 20-25 minute drive to the venue (depending on traffic).

If it is warm while you're here, one of the coolest zoo's you'll ever go to is in Colorado Springs, called The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Highly recommend!

If we have some snow, there are some great ski spots that aren't too far away. There is Loveland roughly an hour away, or our favorite spot Winter Park, which is roughly two hours away.

Estes Park is another one of out favorite mountain towns and would be great for a day trip or for an extended trip regardless of weather. If you go, make sure to stop by The Taffy Shop and get some homemade taffy!
